Wanted to pop this one up even with a somewhat high cost per mile since it is a nice way to enjoy a weekend in Hawaii and add a huge chunk of MQM’s to your total early in the year.

You can fly from  JFK via SFO to HNL and back via ATL to JFK on say May 3-6 and get almost two full days to enjoy in the sun (you can pick longer stays too and still stay in the same price range)! I put this up on FlyerTalk as well and another FT’er pointed out that if you route to ITO you can get the price down to about $500 and lower your CPM. I guess if you have to pay a little more for your MQM’s, doing so in Hawaii is a nice way to go (better than IST to me anyway)! – René

  1. Just throwing it out there, but for PM/DM, not a bad time to use SWUs since K fares are between high 7’s and 850

  2. I know this is off the subject but I figured you were the one to ask: I have an award itinerary with Delta and just found out there is a schedule change and I wanted to know if there’s anyway to get it fixed. The change is on the return from ZRH (ZRH-AMS-DTW-PHX). The flight from DTW was originally supposed to get in at 8:52pm and now it’s 9:22pm. I know it’s only a half an hour but that’s REALLY later than I wanted considering I have to go back to work the next day and that someone is picking me up at the airport. Also, there are many Delta phone numbers to call about a reservation and I was wondering which one in your opinion gets the best results. Thanks, Buddy M.

  3. I signed up for a twitter account and sent them a tweet and this is the reply I got:
The only change I see is a 30-minute change on the last flight. I’m sorry, I wouldn’t be able to make this change unless the time change was more, or if it were a misconnect. Which is what I thought they’d tweet.

  4. Update: I called the 1-800-221-1212 number they have listed on their twitter account page and they were able to hook me up with ZRH-ATL-PHX on the return instead of ZRH-AMS-DTW-PHX, arriving in PHX over 3 hours earlier than I was previously scheduled. Delta just made my day!
