Yep! That my friends is a Delta connection CRJ700 & I am beyond ECSTATIC to be booked on it. I will not stop smiling for the entire flight. Why?
IT IS OUT OF SOUTH BEND INDIANA (SBN)!
Unless this is all just a Delta.dumb mistake or, as my friend Kevin points out who blogs Economy Class & Beyond, an equipment change, I will be flying it soon our of SBN!
Not just that, it is early in March as I wanted to try out C+ seats, snacks and service early on in the month to see how things go. I just cannot wait to see how Delta FAs police the overhead space and how good service is in this amazing new cabin on Delta (well not really new, or a new cabin – but the leather might be new and the new perks should be in place)!
So this will be a bit of a combo mileage-run from my AMEX Platinum credits and fun run to test out all that is NEW for March, including the AMAZING CRJ700 out of SBN – JOY! – René

@Natasha – For YEARS SBN has only had CRJ200’s or SAAB turbo props (back in the day). Even some ATR props way back when. So, to have a CRJ700 out of SBN is a DREAM COME TRUE (if it happens that is)! 🙂
Will the regional carriers fully implement Delta’s new cabin product?
I’ve always noticed a slight difference in service between regional crews and Delta mainline crews, so I wonder if we’ll see any significant differences going forward.
@William – they should yes. i have, most times, be VERY pleased with Delta regional crews. keep in mind even on short flights 1st class does tend to get service.
Totally understand your excitement! Flying out of TVC in northern Michigan, I’ve had those same challenges over the years. I’m certainly happy with CRJ 700 and of course the stretch 900s!

Rene, I feel for you. The CRJ 200 are really cramped and the 700s feel like a Dreamliner compared to the 200s
Weren’t they supposed to have retired all the 200s by now?
@Deltaflyer – They are working on getting rid of the beasts! However, it seems to be taking longer than expect!

Just remember, it is flying out of SBN so it will be fueled with cowpies, not JetA (so I hope they don’t let in any outside air during flight!)!
