If you are looking to visit Europe from NYC or Boston, KLM is having a nice sale going on that could earn you Delta MQM’s to make it to your next medallion level without living on a Delta jet like I will be in November. You can see more about the KLM business class product HERE.
It looks like (you will want to confirm the fare class is correct before you buy it) KLM is selling these in “Z” class bucket and if you enter in your Skymiles number into the record you should earn 150% RDM’s & MQM’s.
While this is not a rock bottom price, there are many places you can go that are on sale! – René

thanks!
Thanks for this. Do you think Delta will follow since it looks like most of these are Delta metal?
@Sam – who knows. Maybe. Post back if you see the match before I do – txs Rene
You’re too quick on the draw for me! My money is on you finding it first!
S class for the one I just checked. Does this earn miles? I dunno…according to that chart, it seems doubtful.
OK, I’m back. I haven’t booked yet but it looks like for you other southern travelers out there in search of Northern lights, you may be able to get the sales price on Delta by flying into OSL and departing TRF. Sample dates Nov. 19-27 for first/business MSY-OSL, TRF-MSY. I have to check a few things before I see if I’m able to grab this one but it looks like a good deal.
@peachfront – txs for leg work and comments. S – class is a Delta fare code not KLM but Delta S – class does also give 150% bonus: Discounted Business: D, S, I 100% 50% 150% 150% Yes per Delta.com
Thanks. If I’m able to buy and fly the deal, I’ll let you know how it goes. 🙂
