Talk about perfect timing, I am in need of 5000 more FlexPerks points to be able to pick up a ticket to spend some time in Mexico with my golfing buddies this winter.

The promotion says:

Earning 3,500 FlexPoints is as easy as using your FlexPerks Travel
Rewards Visa Signature® card for $500 in purchases from May 1–June 30,
2013. It’s a great way to increase your FlexPoints balance and reach
rewards even faster.

If you have not checked them out there is both a personal and business card that, after spend, will net you $400 in credit to buy a ticket on any airline including our Delta! – René

  1. My email also included a promotion for a free preview screening of “Ironman 3” + free drink + free popcorn, on 5/1 in a Detroit suburban theatre.

  2. It’s at least partially targeted as I need to spend $3,000 to get the bonus.

  3. My promo is for 3500 for $50 spend at Neiman Marcus during 2 weeks in May…

  4. I also received the 3500 points for $50 spend at Neiman Marcus. I don’t normally shop there but I will be during the dates in May for this promo.

    • @Diana – yes I looked and I got that one ALSO and for that many points it will be worth buying something there! 😉 Rene

  5. Rene, I don’t have this card. Can the $400 be used to buy more than one ticket? Could it be used to buy one on, say, DL, and a partial payment on AA? In other words, does it have to be used solely on one ticket, and if it is less than $400 the remainder is gone?

I know, I could research it myself, but I figured you would know off the top of your head.:)

  6. WATCH the dates on the Neiman spend, it’s in MAY. I almost bought a krappy pair of overpriced gloves too early!!

  7. Don’t forget to add in that for each Flex Perks award flight you redeem you get a $25 account credit (redeemable after the purchase) to cover baggage fees, in flight movies, food, etc

I had not yet heard about this directly from USBank, so thanks for the heads up. I successfully registered, just b4 leaving for Bangkok (which is where I am as I write this). Flew Emirates, which was amazingly good.

Sorry Pamela but Rene Was WRONG.
You can only use the 20,000 points for 1 ticket. The remainder (less then $400) will indeed be gone. Just confirmed with flex perks travel agent.

  10. Sorry Rene but you should re-read Mommy points post on this.

She got 2 tickets by using 20,000 for the 1st and 20,000 for the second ticket, and paid for the 3rd ticket.

It is confusing in her screenshot as it lumped the total into 1 40,000 redemption.
You get only 1 ticket per 20,000 redemption.

  11. Rene thanks. i did do a test online booking and could not get 2 tickets to work with 20,000 or 30,000 pts. Would love to know if there is a way to recreate your experience.
