And the deals just keep coming. For under 3 cents this is yet ANOTHER great one this time from buzz4fly on FlyerTalk. You can go round trip or one-way fares and go see Alaska for a few days. WIDE OPEN but you know the drill, book fast, book lots, then cancel later if you need to! Use Matrix to check your dates then hop over to Delta.com

I so want to look into 2014 for some of these deals but my circumstances will just not allow planning beyond 01JAN next year. Enjoy kids- René

  1. I’m hub-locked in ATL, so not many MR deals come my way. However there are often deals like this with available routing through ATL on the last leg back to the origin. So I could ditch the last leg and not have to re-position to get home. I know Delta frowns on this, but are there any real penalties? What are the risks/downsides (other than missing the last few miles)?

    • @Russ – yes Delta “no likeee” that. If only now and then, very little risk. Do it a ton, they may close down your Skymiles account.

Oh man, I had to move from Detroit to Houston recently, but I’ve maintained loyalty. I have yet to fly on a United flight – Delta whenever I can.

When I look for MR deals, I usually start by searching for flights within 2k miles of Anchorage, so this is great to see. I’d love to swing a day in Anchorage – cross another of the states off my list!

Unfortunately, it appears this deal is dead 🙁
