As you can see your chance to go to Chicago this October and learn from the best travel minds is just about done. If you have been waiting to see if you can make the time to go please don’t wait any longer. Not only is this event a treasure trove of information for point enthusiasts of all levels, but it is also just a really fun time. I mean, how many times do you get a weekend with 500+ people who all collect points & understand the idea of flying 5000 miles to someplace and not staying more than 1 hour and flying home just to reach an elite level. This is a fun group of people!
While the host hotel is all sold out, there are two other nice choices. They are the Sheraton Elk Grove or the Westin. Both run just 3000 SPG points per night for Friday & Saturday night and are only a few miles from the event location.
Need some SPG points? You can still get the limited time 30,000 (offer has expired) point SPG personal card or if you already have the personal card you could go for the 30,000 (offer has expired) point SPG business card when you make $5,000 in purchases within the first 6 months! – René

With 4Q Starwood Promo might be worth to hotel hop at those prices!
@MSPDeltaDude – what a great idea!
What about an online seminar for the ones outside the US? 🙂
Rene’ – last year I needed a hotel at the last minute & the Crowne Plaza in Northbrook, about a 10 min. drive from the seminar, was a Points Break hotel and I stayed there for 5,000 points a night (about a $35 cost). It’s been a Points Break hotel more than once, so maybe it will be again for the 3rd quarter, and it’s a nice hotel.
@Mark R. – a GREAT idea too thanks for sharing!
The Chicago seminar is now sold out and I have an extra ticket for $85, and I am willing to pay the $20 to have it transferred to someone if they want the ticket for $85.
@Karen – there are many on the FT thread who will take it. Sorry you will not make it again this year – Rene
Rene; I’ll be there, but not my husband! Thought I had him talked into it this time, but he got a “better” offer! ha!
@Karen – FUN (for you)! Want to join us riding Segways Thursday PM along the lakeshore? More details as week gets closer!
