For points enthusiasts, there are few things that bring as much of a smile as getting FREE points. The Spin with SPG promotion is still going strong and I know several of my fellow BA bloggers have won stuff. I already have one 500 SPG point win and now both Lisa & I have won and both are in the running for the big prize and that would be a fun win!
This is coming off of some nice points back from my Sheraton stay as an SPG GOLD (soon to be Platinum) in Rome this past week and a bunch of points from one of the best travel cards you can have as a Delta flyer the SPG personal card as well as the SPG business card. Keep in mind, as a Delta elite or an SPG Platinum you can get some very very very nice perks with crossover rewards. Be sure to sign up as this in NO WAY affects how you in the long run redeem your SPG points. For example, you can earn with CrossoverRewards and then send your points to another airline that is an SPG transfer partner!
That is one of the big perks of SPG points – flexibility. If you want lots of options, in addition to SPG points, you must take the time to collect Ultimate rewards points. The Chase Sapphire Preferred® card is a top card and btw will pay you 3x points on the first Friday of each month for restaurants (ya know tomorrow is Friday right)! For a business card, you really should look at the Chase Ink Plus. So many perks and the LARGE new card bonus after spend is worth a ton. You can even transfer Ultimate Rewards points, if you wish at 1:1, over to Southwest if you want to add to the great bonus you can get from ALL 4 of the Southwest cards. And, don’t forget the amazing Barclay’s Arrival World Mastercard as one more in your travel mix (if you are going for say more than one card this month)!
BTW, I have about 500+ emails stacked up in my inbox from my time in Rome so if I have not e-mailed you back yet I will get to you ASAP but feel free to e-mail again if you don’t hear from me. Thanks! – René
