First let’s get to our Random.org winner who followed the rules. We congratulate #48 JEM who says to us:
“Amex Gold – need an MR earner for occasional transfers to Avios for short-hauls & repositioning”
Congratulations JEM for winning this week and who am I to argue with that kind of logic. The MR GOLD card is one I am thinking about seriously considering as well!
Now on to the interesting results of what cards readers are planning on going for next round! There are some good deals out there and I like your thinking. The results broke down like this:
49 are going for a Chase card either INK, Sapphire, Southwest etc
29 are going for a Delta either Gold – Platinum – Reserve (or business one)
20 are going for a Barclay’s Arrival card
19 are going for an SPG card or an SPG business card
13 are going for a Club Carlson card
11 are going for a non-Delta i.e. Membership Reward Platinum card
10 are going for the Citi 75k AA card
8 are going for the IHG 80k card
7 are going for some other Citi card
4 are going for a non-Delta Membership Reward Gold card or business Gold card
3 are going for an Alaska card
2 are going for a U.S. Bank FlexPerks card (or business card)
2 are going for a US AIR card
2 are going for a Virgin card
1 is going for a Priceline card
1 is thinking Bass Pro ? Really?
That is neat data to me. It shows the value of Ultimate Rewards, or for us Delta flyers the need to have a Delta card or maybe 365+ days have gone by, we are ready for a new card bonus again. Also, the SPG tie-in with so many airlines is sweet to transfer to Delta and others. Clearly the Arrival card is one of the best all around cards anyone can hold (I do and will)! Then the other choices show you are all adding to your all around travel totals. Smart move. Now I just have to decide what is next for me 😉 – René
