nyc to hnl

lga to dfw

Just as a heads up today I am suspending my rules on what a good deal is. What you will get today is a bunch of the best deals I can find anywhere before year end. After all, ANYTHING is better than buying MQMs at stupid and insane prices plus before the stroke of midnight on the 31st we earn Skymiles for distance too.

Also notice the NYC to DFW one that I also included you ONLY earn for the outbound leg in 2014 a total of 1380-ish MQMs and the rest you earn in 2015! IS THAT CLEAR?

So, for the Hawaii run, that really for a weekend run is not all that bad, here are the numbers:

Cost $679

9,966 MQMs at 6.8CPM

Bookable on Delta.com

Side note – when did Delta start direct NYC to HNL flights? 🙂

I will be looking from HUBS all day long so be sure to check the blog often today! – Rene

  1. Rene,

I have been following your systematic analysis of the destruction of Skymiles coming in 2015. But I have a question.

I am Platinum with AA but this year, I will not be flying must if any this year for work, so I may barely qualify for Gold with AA next year even with leisure travels.

So I got to thinking, since most of my miles earning will be via CC spend, If I switch to Delta CC spend (with the Biz Platinum and Personal Reserve cards) I may be able to work up to Delta Plat… Do you think it’s worth it the effort?

Being in DC/Baltimore area, I have lot of choices in airlines, but since the general opinion is that Delta does provide good service, even the mile earning stinks, maybe that should be my plan. What do you think?

    • @Juno – you have just about broken down a post I have on the way soon 😉

      • Thanks Rene. Looking forward to your post. (Sorry for the spelling in the previous post. Auto correct on the ipad really annoys me.)
