skyteam app startup page

It seems everyone is updating their app this month including Delta with their 3.0 version. The latest Skyteam one is not at all focused on selling but helping us as flyers and I very much like that! So much so that it will be a tool I use more as it fixes some of the Fly Delta APP issues I talked about just this Tuesday. So good are many of the bits that it has, for now, landed a coveted spot on my phone home page! Let’s take a look why:

ver 3-6 of skyteam app

The latest Android version that you can get via the Play Store is 3.6 (I am told the iPhone updates are about the same).

skyteam main screen menu

The starting page has a nice side menu, like the updated Delta one, and here is where the fun begins.

find skyteam flights

Want to find what Delta / Skyteam flights you may need due to an issue, unlike the irritating one on the Fly Delta APP, this one just works and is quick.

find airports

Want to know what airports are close to you that are serviced by Skyteam partners – yep quickly at hand.

flight status and city info

What about your flight status (yeah I guess the Delta one is better here but hang on).

skyteam app info about atl atlanta airport

After that you have SO much info about the city you are going to. Lounges, transportation, weather and more! Very nice.

lounge finder working in skyteam app

Speaking of lounges, this seems to really work well and they have even updated (at last) the info about the LAX SUL lounge no longer as an option for Skyteam members. I hope the rest of the info is just as current. The only downside is you don’t see Alaska Boardrooms as they are Delta partner not Skyteam partner.

Anyway, I am really impressed with this little tool and will be utilizing it when I fly Delta / Skyteam. What do you think – like it? – René

  1. Thanks. I didn’t know about this app. It will come in handy for my rtw trip in January.
