This is a post just to put everyone at ease as it is NOT a new Delta enhancement sprung on us but an IT bug.

You see right now, if you happen to go and try to spend your AMEX BOGOF certificate from either your Delta Platinum or your Delta Reserve cards it auto-fills in YOU as the first flyer.

Now we all know, and can look at the T&C for the certificate above, to see it is transferable, that is, you can pick any two people you want to fly on the cert.

I reached out to Delta to asked if this is a NEW unannounced change and was told NO and a fix to toggle if you are flying as you see above is on the way very soon (later today or tomorrow).

Until then you will have to call Delta and explain the bug and request they waive any fees for calling vs. booking online – René

    Renee,
    I have the AMEX Platinum and Delta AMEX Bus. & Personal Reserve cards but have never gotten a BOGOF offer. How could I use this to book a May FWA-HNL-FWA trip?

      @Robert – You can only fly FROM HNL if you live in Hawaii on the BOGOF certs from Reserve cards.

    Thanks Renee, I have a meeting in Honolulu on May 21st and thought it would be fun to take my wife for a few days of sun & surf. Should have known your deals were to rich for me. I’m baffled though to know I’ve had these cards for many years but never been offered a BOGOF certificate?
