I just don’t know how I feel about this one and that is one reason I was holding to post about it with a HT to FT for it. Here are some thoughts on it.

Yes it is cheap. Yes it is sub 5CPM for a weekend run (almost a good price for a weekday run for that matter). Yes you can get it all done in 24hrs over a weekend. Yes it is bookable on Delta.com VIA Kayak.com (log in to Delta then use KAYAK to start your booking as Delta.com does not want to find it). Yes it is a DL code share so per Delta.com:

Is this a Delta-marketed flight? Not sure if you’re on a Delta-marketed flight? There’s an easy way to check. The marketing carrier is determined by the two-letter airline code in the flight number.  So if your flight has a DL flight number, it qualifies for our mileage crediting rules. If you are instead flying a partner-marketed flight, the miles, MQMs and MQDs  you earn will vary by carrier.

But, you will be flying AeroMexico and in the past many have expressed issues getting complimentary Medallion upgrades without asking and pushing. Not always fun.

Then again, picking up 5k MQMs for around $200 is always nice. So, with all that in mind, there are the numbers for one date I found:

Cost $219

5,180 MQMs at 4.2CPM

Bookable on Delta.com

There are not a bunch of weekend dates you can do this as a turn. I am not a big fan of Mexico City due to personal feelings on safety. If you are willing to stay a few days it is wide open at this price but that is not for me. Be safe MR’ers! – Rene
