lyft 30 credit new users

Oh Lyft. You are so cute and so want to be UBER when you grow up. You have figured out that you should offer a higher $30 bonus offer to attract riders (UBER is only offering $20 each for new riders). But you have some issues.

lift credit that expire fast
My lift credit(s) will be GONE before I can use it 🙁

One of them is the completely idiotic and stupid idea of VERY quickly expiring referral credits. Another is splitting up a bonus into many smaller credits (as you can see above).

Now don’t get me wrong I do like the service itself. I like how LYFT does tend to pickup at just about every airport in the USA vs. UBER that has some blocked (all you have to do is move the pointer outside the airport then call the driver and tell them you are at the airport but still). I also like that a great many LYFT driver are also UBER drivers.

I know some riders are fiercely loyal to one service over the other, but I am all about the deal and have never had a bad experience with either of these, other than one time in Dallas when a LYFT driver just never came to get me after agreeing to the ride (I canceled and called an UBER).

You tell me. Do you like LYFT vs. UBER or are either fine? – René

  1. I entered my phone number via your link for $30 Lyft offer, received SMS with link to install it, then I installed, but I don’t see any mention about free ride offer. How can I check that I will get a free ride? I see there is a place to enter a code in my Payment settings, but what code should I enter there??

    • @EG – Not that I know of. Link is all you need for the credit (once you take 1st ride).

  2. Rene, your link takes me to a “page not found” screen. Help please? Also does your $30 referral have any of the restrictions you mention in your post?

  3. Rene, as a follow up to my comment from a week ago, would you kindly email me with your $30 Lyft referral code? Can’t get the referral link where you enter your phone number to work. Thanks. I want to use Lyft today for the first time. Thanks!

  5. I also need the code, Rene. I clicked on your link and signed up but the FAQ states that I should enter a code on my payment screen to get the $30 credit. Thank you!
