There are days you just dream about, and then there is today! I will be on “cloud 9” all day. Well to be more specific I will be in a suite on the 16th green at the PGA today at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin. How did I get this?

Thanks to just 10,000 SPG points!

spg folder for spg pga

Yep, my good friend and I are not just going to the even free of charge thanks for my SPG points, but doing so in style. I received via Fedex the above folder. Inside was:

my pass from spg for the pga 2015

Our two passes to the Sarazen suite at the course, parking pass and information about the event. To say I was excited to see this does not even begin to describe it. Now for anyone who loves Golf, you get what this package means. If you don’t, well just look at the real value for my SPG points:

price for spg to rent the suite

Yep, SPG paid for the Sarazen suite almost $100,000 for the 4 days of the tournament and with only 30 people invited to the suite each day we are talking a value of $825 for each person or $1,650 for my 10,000 SPG points paid. That, my friends, is 16.5 cents per point value. 😉

I saw Tiger win in 2000 at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky and it was amazing. Bob May put on an epic fight. I have been trying to get Tiger to autograph that entrance pass ever since so maybe this will be my chance to get that done. Again, I just cannot wait!

All of this is thanks to my SPG points. I love being an SPG Platinum and my #SPGlife on the road and today will just be another special SPG day I will not soon forget. I hope you follow along on Twitter as I tweet live from the PGA! – Rene

  1. I’ve been a volunteer at most of the events at Valhalla, including the Ryder Cup, and my husband works the U.S. Open every year for the international broadcasters. It’s an incredibly fun experience that I would highly recommend. We met people from all over the world at the Ryder Cup and it was strongly recommended that we go overseas to volunteer there as well. Hmmm, maybe my sky pesos will get me there, maybe not . . . Have a great time and good luck with the tiger autograph – he seems more willing now than in previous times.
