You need to check your “AMEX offers for you” to see if you have been targeted for the above offer for $15 off if you spend $30 at Google Express. I was targeted on my Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express that currently has the amazing 35,000 bonus points offer till the end of the month!

Also at checkout there is 1st time user Google Express code J6UJFZ3A9 that gives you another $15 off the order for a total of $30 off your total order (with the AMEX offer).

After you register your $15 off offer at AMEX, place an order at Google Express, wait for the charge to post as pending at AMEX, you should get notice via email that you are set to get the credit. This is yet one more to help me pay me back for my annual fee for holding this great travel card!
Other bits. You will be paying $4.99 S&H fee per order unless you sign up for a 3 month trial membership with Google Express that you can cancel before the yearly or monthly fee bills. I decided just to pay the fee for this order.
Also, the above first time use will work even if you have NOT been targeted for the AMEX offer but after fees the offer is clearly not as valuable. Lastly, make sure if you are targeted you order something large enough that if you stack the offers you are high enough to have at least $30 total billed to your AMEX card (from Staples I got forever stamps but you could get say an Amazon $50 gift card).
Were you targeted for this great offer from AMEX offers for you? – René

This is an account referral code and does not work on stamps, gcs, alcohol, shipping, tazes. Basically you would need to spend $45 not including shipping on merchandise to maximize both offers. You can spend $30 on anything to trigger the Amex offer though.
Nice, although it seems you can’t use the promo code for gift cards:
“Promo codes can’t be used on orders containing gift cards, alcohol items, or Costco membership.”
Still a $50 giftcard for $35 isn’t bad!
It looks like they charge tax as well, so including the tax and shipping this comes works out to $45 for the $50 card, which isn’t as good as it initially sounded. 🙁
@Adam – As mentioned in post, the deal is great for those targeted, less so for those who are not.
