This is news I have been longing for. There is now a much greater reason to connect via MSP than DTW or ATL and that is the chance to enjoy some time at the MSP Escape lounge that has at long last joined Priority Pass
This really is good news for Delta flyers. This will mean you have a MUCH better choice of lounge experience than the Sky Clubs. To me, other than when there is a flight issue, there is just no reason to ever visit a Sky Club in MSP again.
You can get in FREE via the Priority Pass lounge access that is included with the cards above. The Citi card allows a guest to come in free with you while the AMEX PP membership is just for you alone. However, authorized users to the AMEX Platinum cards also get PP membership.
The views from this lounge are amazing. If you are an AVgeek you need to stop by and check it out and view two of the runways. Oh, and why not enjoy a mimosa while you are jet gazing (it is free unlike the Sky Club downstairs where you have to spend SkyMiles to have Champagne)! – René

This is great news. The staff there gave me a tour of the club a couple of months ago and were clearly hoping the PP agreement would happen soon. Based on what I saw this will be a popular spot. I have at least three trips to MSP later this year and will check it out.
Amazing news since I will use it with my wife and 2 kids for summer vacation. Since the TSA lines are simply ridiculous at MSP we will get to the airport early and since we have TSA Pre we might be lucky so I will spend time at this lounge instead off paying at Delta for wife and kids.
Now it is time for them to open a lounge at DTW. I usually connect to DTW from MSP to some flights to Europe and South America and I won’t pay a cent for my kids to access Delta lounges.
@rene: You are talking about Escape lounge? I am talking about Priority Pass. With over 900 lounges worldwide I don’t understand why they do not have one at DTW.
I stopped in today with a WN boarding pass. Used my PP from Prestige. Had 2 others with me (spouse and friend) as well as 6 mo old. On their website FAQ it said kids under 2 give a call before arriving so I did that but then over the phone they said no need to call in advance. Kids under 2 don’t require an extra guest pass. No kids room though.

@Santastico – OAK is the next spot. I will be there late summer to cover opening :-=)
@rene: You are talking about Escape lounge? I am talking about Priority Pass. With over 900 lounges worldwide I don’t understand why they do not have one at DTW.
@Santastico – They have PP lounges in DTW just not in the Delta side.
@rene: If you go to the Priority Pass website and search for lounges there are no lounges in Detroit.
@Santastico – Ah. Well there were. It was a while ago I was on that side of things 😉
Escape MSP was awesome as described and expected. I plan to never visit the SkyClub there again. Which is pretty awesome itself.
Has anyone here had experience with bringing in spouse and 2 kids?

Sounds like they are revoking the PP access in June of 2017. Terrible news!!
@Jordan – Yep. 15JUNE17 you must have non-Delta AMEX Platinum card to get in.
