Meet me and John @laptoptravel

I have some new readers who have been asking for a long time now, that is “just when are you having a Seattle event“? Well that time is now set. First the dates:

  • Feb. 23 & 24, 2017

What are the plans? Well they are not 100% set in stone and the details are a bit in flux including important details like just where we are going and when we are going and how we will get there. Much will depend on how many will attend but the plan is, at this point, that the schedule will be:

  • Thursday February 23rd: Tour Boeing (more on this soon – limited availability)
  • Friday February 24th: Tour the Museum of Flight SEA
  • Sunday February 26th: Dinner meet-up

Again, all of this will happen but the firm details need to be updated soon and we need to work on costs, transportation issues and much more. There will be discounted group rates and I may need some help from readers to make this all work well. So what else?

I will also be speaking at the Seattle FTU Advance event that tends to sell out FAST so if you wish to attend that you will not want to delay. I plan to share a number of topics that I never ever publish on the blog including topics like Delta, MS & avoiding card issues (i.e. workarounds) and much more.

Bottom line is book now if you want to attend. I will update this post with more info and if you plan to attend please leave a comment below with your e-mail in the e-mail field so I can reach out to you to give you firm updates and confirm personally what will be next! – Rene

  6. @James – It is happening we just don’t have the details of how it is happening. I will work on updates soon for the Thursday & Friday events. Sunday will be dinner somewhere once we know how many are attending. It will be more casual.

  7. Happy holidays Rene ! I’m AI for Boeing and all- got my ticket and host hotel ! RSVP

  8. @Rene – any word on your itinerary / times for Boeing (Thursday) and flight museum (Friday) tour?

  9. Aloha Everyone ! Seattle is my (second) Home Hub airport, and I will be
arriving early on Wednesday February 22nd. I will be around in the new, massive
    and beautiful Delta Sky Club
to welcome any of you who might be coming in
early that day. (No one is required to show up on Wednesday.) If you come in
later, be sure to enjoy the SkyClub
in the evening; it is even more beautiful at that time
. Of course the Boeing Factory Tour
(excited!) will most likely be mid-morning on Thursday so some people (myself
included) decided to arrive earlier in Seattle. The Museum of Flight is also a great
tour, located at the southern end of King County International Airport, close
to the SeaTac airport, in the city of Tukwila, just south of Seattle. I will also be speaking at the FTU Event
(more on that later) and look forward to another great meet-up with travel,
points and miles fans! We just had a
    glorious weekend
(in spite of some bad weather issues, which Delta handled
    wonderfully for us…) on Maho
Beach, Sint Maarten in the Caribbean
. Looking forward to seeing everyone at these great Seattle
    events (Seattle LOVES avgeeks!)

    Check out FTU Event
    here for details
