I am sure you have got these either via e-mail or regular mail. Most of us just file them, but bloggers read every word to see what perks they have cut or “enhanced” away from us. This one seemed very confusing from my Citi Prestige card but I did not find anything bad either. Well take a look what I got in e-mail the next day:
I guess they felt bad about sending stuff that they should not have and sent me 1000 ThankYou points (worth at least $10) for the issue. OK thank you for ThankYou points!
If you did not get the points e-mail but did either in snail mail or e-mail get the fake change of Card Member Agreement changes you may want to follow up and see if you too are going to get 1000 points for the issue! 🙂 – René

Wondering the same as the other commenters. Whether 1k points is enough for promising lowering $100 in my Prestige fee. Can’t I legally stick to the paper and say they said it was going to be that? 😛
Ok, i got the agreement that my prestige annual fee was going to be $350 and I was going to get 15% off every purchase every year…it seems too good to be true but I havent received an apology yet or that they made a mistake. Hopefully it wasnt a mistake, what did your letter state?

I got it. I was all excited for a sec. They should give 5K points for an error like that, IMO. It’s a pretty big one.
@Harlan – If you can talk them into 5k, let me know what you said 😉
It’s luck of the draw. I once got 10K points for pointing out a site error.
Very HUCA in this case. My best advice is to be polite and keep using the word “disappointed.” 😉
I got it too…
