A special offer through Rakuten (formerly known as Ebates) makes right now a prime time for Platinum Card from American Express (read about this card) cardholders to use the card’s Saks Fifth Avenue semi-annual $50 benefit.
Rakuten is currently offering 14% back on Saks Fifth Avenue purchases. (The cash back portal usually rewards just 2%.)
The (personal) Platinum Card from American Express (read about this card) offers members a $50 Saks shopping credit each year ($100 annually). That benefit will stack nicely with the Rakuten Saks offer.

Amex’s Saks benefit is valid for members who specifically enroll in the offer. Visit your Amex account home page, select “Benefits,” and sign up for the offer. Then head to Rakuten and start shopping!

Don’t Forget to Use ONLY Rakuten/Ebates’ Promo Codes!
In addition to the 14% cash back offer, a number of promo codes published on Rakuten/Ebates can be stacked on top of everything else!

Clicking Rakuten/Ebates’ promo codes could ultimately make a $175 purchase cost only $65.50!
Does buying physical gift cards trigger the cash back? The terms specifically say no. But stranger things have happened… 😉
Rene: Falling on the Saks Sword
René learned this the hard way — after clicking through TopCashBack, which currently offers just 4%.
He still received a free Saks purchase — but could have come out way ahead.
Avenge his cash back clicking and earn yourself some money!
Happy shopping!

There’s a [targeted] Amex “Offers for You” to stack with this too. https://pointsexpress.blogspot.com/2019/07/amex-offers-spend-75-or-more-at-us.html
