WEATHER ALERT: Delta Issues Travel Waiver for New York City Flights on July 17

A thunderstorm builds at Las Vegas McCarran Airport, affecting Delta, United, and Southwest flights, as Mandalay Bay and Luxor resorts and casino stands in the distance on the Las Vegas Strip.

Nasty thunderstorms are taking aim at New York City, prompting Delta Air Lines to issue weather waivers for July 17 flights.

Five Big Apple area’s airports are included:

  • Kennedy (JFK)
  • LaGuardia (LGA)
  • Newark (EWR)
  • Newburgh (SWF)
  • White Plains (HPN)

Affected passengers can make a one-time change to their flights without being assessed a penalty.

Itineraries for July 17 flights in/out of New York must be reissued on or before July 20. Rebooked travel must begin no later than July 20, as well.
