SWAG Saturday: Delta Sky Club reusable bag, Delta Air Lines Austin metal baggage tag, and two Have One on Us certificates.

It’s the return of SWAG Saturday (and my first as a “host”)!

The winner will receive a package consisting of the following three items:

  • Delta Sky Club reusable bag
  • Delta Sky Club Austin metal baggage tag
  • Two (2) Have One on Us coupons (or “HOOUS,” as we call ’em) good for one of the following onboard purchases:
    • a wine split
    • a cocktail
    • a beer
    • headphones

The HOOUs expire in December 2019. (Word to the wise: Headphones cost only two bucks. Adult beverages cost $10. This assumes, of course, you’re seated in the Main Cabin during a domestic flight at least 250 miles or longer.)

The Sky Club items are mementos from the Austin Sky Club opening.

How to Enter

As usual, the “Comment” section serves as our “raffle drum.”

In keeping with the “refreshments” theme from last week’s Sky Club post and yesterday’s rant, please tell me what meals, snacks and beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) are your favorites onboard and in SkyClubs.

Enter as many times as you wish — but each comment must be different. (For those wondering, something like “Coke” for one entry and “Jack and Coke” for another is perfectly acceptable. But if I see anyone mixing Woodford Reserve with anything… 😉 )

(I’m on the West Coast, so don’t panic if your comment isn’t visible right away.)

Entrants from all over the globe are welcome. Remember that on international flights drinks are free everywhere on the plane and the HOOUs are good only on hops Delta doesn’t consider international flights.)

And this is a biggie: comments containing profanity or personal attacks will automatically be disqualified and deleted.

I will use Random.org tomorrow, Sunday, July 28, to pick the winner after 6 PM EDT. I will post the winning number Sunday evening and directly contact the winner to get his/her mailing address.

(And keep your eyes peeled for the weekly recap a little later with the final tally on our “Nonstop” vs. “Direct” vs. “Flight” vote!)

Have fun and good luck!

–Chris

UPDATE: WINNER!

#30 is our winner! I’ll get in touch directly to arrange shipping. Congratulations to our winner and thank you all for entering!

  1. Always refreshing GnT in the Delta Club. Grab a coffee cup and fill it with the snack mix (spicy if they have it) and fill your water bottle before leaving.

  2. It’s Austin – beer. Have not been by yet, but assume they’ll have one of the local beers.

  3. That Austin tag!! Jack Tennessee Honey with half ginger ale half club soda.

  4. I also love just about any soup served in Delta One. Surprisingly good!

  5. I guess a quiet space to work doesn’t qualify as a favorite food. But, in lieu of that, I’d settle for a good gin and tonic!

A banana, a cranberry & orange juice and the sweet, sweet smell of “not crammed into a seat at the gate”….mmmmm, I do love me some of that.

Oh, and if at MCO, an ice cream from the cart.

  7. I was devastated when the Sky Clubs discontinued the craft beer selections years ago. At least they came back pretty quickly. So a quick craft draft is often my goto at the clubs.

  8. Vodka Cran on the early morning flights when not going to work later that day

  9. And the self-serve style clubs are much easier to deal with in my opinion. (Though I have seen jerks fill their own bottles from the club ones!)

  10. Onboard is usually just seltzer for me unless it’s a long flight.

And thanks for SWAG Saturday. And welcome, Chris

  11. Had an attendant offer me a ‘Jack and Joe’ one morning on a vacation flight ….now my wife wants to travel with me all the time because of it.

For SkyClub – really like the infused water they have out.

I’m in a Delta Sky Club at this moment, and the corn relish in the buffet is delicious.

I’d like to amend my answer to include the oatmeal raisin cookie. Yum.

  14. It may not be the best, but my wife and I have celebrated many trips and events with a glass of the onboarding sparkling wine.

  15. Vegan soups—always appreciate any food they put out that’s hot and anyone can eat.

  16. Terrapin Hopsecutioner in ATL B is a fine choice if you like that kinda stuff.

  17. I haven’t seen much variety at the clubs lately, always seems to be mac & cheese and meatballs.

  18. I like those chocolates from Michigan they’ve been known to serve in First Class. The Salted Caramel are the best…

  19. Hard to beat Woodford and Biscoffs! Just to throw a new answer out there – the coconut oatmeal they had at the JFK Skyclub for breakfast was surprisingly decent.
