With rain and thunderstorms possible tomorrow in Philadelphia and New York City, Delta Air Lines has issued a weather waiver for certain airports in those cities.

The weather waiver is valid only for Delta Air Lines-marketed flights tomorrow (August 28) involving the below airports:

  • Philadelphia (PHL)
  • Kennedy (JFK)
  • LaGuardia (LGA)
  • Newark (EWR)
  • Newburgh (SWF)
  • White Plains (HPN)

Tickets must be reissued on or before August 30, with rebooked travel commencing no later than the 30th, as well.

Passengers may make a one-time change without being assessed a fee, though fare differences may apply.

As of post time, the National Weather Service forecasts a 40% chance of precipitation Wednesday in Philadelphia, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night. Similar weather is expected in New York.
