Delta Air Lines has issued a weather travel waiver for St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, not long after Tropical Storm Dorian was upgraded to hurricane status.

This weather waiver is an extension of another issued earlier this week. It’s effect now through tomorrow, August 29 for:

  • St. Thomas (STT)
  • Punta Cana (PUJ)
  • Port-au-Prince (PAP)
  • San Juan (SJU)
  • Santo Domingo (SDQ)
  • St. Lucia (UVF)

Tickets must be reissued on or before September 5, with rebooked travel commencing no later than the 5th as well.

Passengers may make a one-time change to their respective itineraries without being assessed a fee, though fare differences may apply.

“Currently, Delta does not anticipate additional cancellations while the storm moves over the Atlantic Ocean, but will continue to evaluate the status of the storm to make operational adjustments as the storm is expected to strengthen to a Category 3 hurricane before making landfall in Florida Monday,” Delta said in a statement.
