The American Express Business Platinum card has announced a big, limited-time offer for new cardholders: 100,000 bonus Membership Rewards points after meeting certain spending thresholds.
Earn 50,000 bonus Membership Rewards points after you spend $10,000 within the first three months of being approved for the card. You’ll receive another 50,000 bonus MRs after spending an additional $15,000 on eligible purchases within those same three months.
So if you spend $25,000 within three months of being approved, you’ll earn 125,000 Membership Rewards ($25,000 on spend = 25,000 Membership Rewards points. Then receive the 100,000 bonus points).
This limited-time offer expires 12/31/2019. Terms apply.
The Benefits-Packed Business Platinum Card from American Express OPEN
Air Travel Benefits
Rebate on Airfares Booked with Membership Rewards Points!
One of the benefits I love most is the 35% Membership Rewards rebate valid for certain airfares booked through AmexTravel.com. Each year, you select an airline (we’ll say Delta). And whenever you use Membership Rewards points to pay for some or all of a Delta flight purchased through Amex, you receive 35% of those points back. Plus, those tickets code as cash fares, entitling you to MQM, MQD, SkyMiles, and any applicable elite Medallion perks.
The 35% rebate is also available for any first class airline ticket booked through Amex Travel — regardless of airline.

The card carries a $595 annual fee.
First things first: $25,000 in minimum spend to reach a welcome bonus is a lot of money. But Amex Business Platinum card welcome bonuses generally require a hefty amount of spend for their welcome bonuses. If you have quarterly taxes to pay (’tis the season…), that could be a quick way to knock out of a bunch of spend.
The daily bonus point earnings on this card are nothing exceptional. I have and love this card — pretty much for the benefits only. But I still find it worth the nearly $600 annual fee.
