Hot on the heels of yesterday’s announcement that Delta and American Express are refreshing their co-branded credit cards, new limited-time offers have just been released for personal and business versions of the Gold, Platinum, and Reserve cards.

And there are plenty of SkyMiles to be enjoyed (at least, for the personal cards). The business cards, though, have easily achievable minimum spend requirements.

Some Key Points

The “new” annual fees announced yesterday don’t take effect until next year. You won’t pay the higher fee until next fall when your card renews. So if you’ve thought about getting one of these cards, now’s the time. The welcome bonuses are great and the higher annual fees won’t kick in until for another year.

Each card is a separate product. If you haven’t held a certain card, you should be eligible for its welcome bonus. For example, say you hold the personal Delta Amex Platinum. You can apply for any one (or more!) of the other cards you’ve never had before and receive its welcome bonus once you reach the minimum spend.

These offers are available through October 30. So the trick is to apply for the treat before Halloween.

Don’t fret about ways to reach the minimum spend. The holidays are coming soon — and money of us hemorrhage money during the next three months. René is also crafting a post that will help you with some ideas of how to meet your spend goals.

You can read my thoughts here about the changes.
