My Take
I enjoying holding the IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card.
I have a young child, which means we must stay in hotels with swimming pools. 🙂 Many Holiday Inns are perfect for families. Dads and Moms — consider adding this card to your repertoire.
The $89 annual fee is fine for the hotel benefits and complimentary night we receive each year. It’s not as spectacular as the old IHG Mastercard (RIP) but $89 for a good hotel room is a deal, in my opinion.

What To Do If You Want This and the Delta Amexes?
If your mouth is watering over this and the big welcome bonuses on the Delta American Express cards, here are a few things to keep in mind.
Make Sure You Can Afford Both Sets of Annual Fees
The IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card‘s $89 annual fee is not waived the first year.
The Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles Gold Business American Express Card are the only Delta Amexes with waived annual fees the first year.
The Delta Platinum or Reserve cards‘ respective $195 and $450 annual fees are not waived the first year.
If you can’t afford the annual fees on two new cards, pick just one. Should you fall into that category, I’d go with the Delta Amexes before their annual fees increase next year.
Ensure You Can Reach Minimum Spend on Both Cards
The Delta Amexes have minimum spend requirements ranging between $1000-$5000. So make sure you can safely afford to spend between $4000-$8000 in the next three months. If you can’t meet the bonus requirements, the offers can be literally pointless for you.
Apply for Both on the Same Day
Banks may raise an eyebrow when people apply for multiple credit cards (or loans, etc) over a span of several days or weeks. You’re better off applying for multiple cards in a single day.
