We haven’t reached mid-October — and a powerful winter storm is set to smack the portions of the Upper Midwest. Delta has issued a weather waiver for several cities in North Dakota and South Dakota.
Pictured above: a winter storm at my hometown of Hector International Airport in Fargo (FAR) where I was stranded for two days.
Airports included in the weather waiver are:
North Dakota
- Bismarck (BIS)
- Fargo (FAR)
- Grand Forks (GFK)
- Minot (MOT)
- Williston (XWA)
South Dakota
- Aberdeen (ABR)
- Rapid City (RAP)
Sioux Falls has thus far been spared.
Affected travel dates are Thursday, October 10 and Friday, October 11.
Tickets must be reissued on or before October 14, with rebooked travel commencing no later than October 14, as well.
Passengers may make a one-time change without being assessed a fee, though fare differences may apply.
Visit the weather waiver’s alert for more information and learn about how Delta weather waivers work in general.
