Winter winter struck Chicago today — canceling hundreds of flights and creating conditions that likely contributed to an American Eagle flight sliding off an O’Hare runway.

Envoy 4125 — and Embraer ERJ-145 — from Greensboro slid from the runway before lodging itself into the nearby grass.

“After landing, American Eagle flight 4125, operated by Envoy Air, slid off the runway due to icy conditions at Chicago O’Hare,” American Airlines spokeswoman Sarah Jantz told USA Today. “No injuries were reported. All 38 passengers and three crew members were deplaned from the aircraft and are now safely back in the terminal.”

Stay safe out there, everyone!
