Do you enjoy giving actual, physical gift cards? Not into saying “Merry Christmas!” — then handing someone a piece of paper you printed at home?

Here’s a great way you can earn points (or cash back) while purchasing gift cards this year.

Many supermarkets and office supply stores sell gift cards for restaurants, online e-tailers (i.e. Amazon, iTunes, etc), big box stores, Visa or Master Card, and more.

And because those locations are commonly bonused categories on credit cards, you can earn some nice gifts (points and/or money!) for yourself while buying presents for others. Plus, most restaurants (another often bonused category) sell their own gift cards.

Remember many supermarkets and office supply stores have their own loyalty programs — allowing you to earn those points, too!
