A number of Delta Amex Reserve cardholders were rightfully concerned when they spent a lot of money last month — but their bonus miles didn’t post.
Many spent $30,000 (some spent $60,000!) in order to receive not just their 15,000 (or 30,000) bonus MQM — but bonus SkyMiles which were 86ed as of last week.
MQM generally don’t post until statements turn over. But bonus redeemable SkyMiles usually post fairly quickly — except January 2020 seemed to be an exception.

One commenter and René both confirmed their bonus MQM and SkyMiles posted to their SkyMiles accounts.
I think delays may have had something to do with Delta’s Medallion year ending January 31 and the big Delta Amex refresh taking place January 30.
If you haven’t received your bonus, give Amex a call. (Don’t forget: annual fees don’t count toward your spend.)

Received MQMs even before January statement closed!
My bonus miles posted on February 6.
I have a Delta Reserve AMEX card and my Companion Certificate issued on 11/1/2018 and expired on 12/31/19…
Do you need to fly before 12/31/19 or can you buy a ticket before 12/31/19 and fly beyond 12/31/19? Please advise.
Thank you,
Jeff
