Still don’t have a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or identification card? Good news! The deadline was extended an entire year. You now have until October 1, 2021 to get your REAL ID.
REAL ID will then be required to board US domestic flights. Keep in mind that passports, passport cards, Global Entry cards, and military IDs are also considered Real ID.

“States across the country are temporarily closing or restricting access to DMVs. This action will preclude millions of people from applying for and receiving their REAL ID,” said acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf. “Extending the deadline will also allow the Department to work with Congress to implement needed changes to expedite the issuance of REAL IDs once the current health crisis concludes.”
You may recall there was some concern that pandemonium would ensue (or still will, at least next year) in US airports when the new law goes into place.
Have you received your REAL ID yet?

Military IDs also meet the real ID requirements.
@DT: Thanks much, DT. I added that to the post.
I was waiting for my passport to be renewed before applying for my Real ID…received my new passport last week, and now I wait….
Sorry but anyone that travels and still doesn’t have a real ID is stupid. They were given more than enough time to get one.
