Today’s the first day Chase Freedom cardholders can take advantage of this quarter’s 5%/5X categories: Amazon and Whole Foods purchases!

Please note the Chase Freedom links now direct you to the new and improved card, the Chase Freedom Flex.

You must first register for the promotion. (It’s easy and takes all of about five seconds.) Just visit ChaseBonus.com and enter your:

Then shop away!

Cashback is capped at $75 (or $1500 in combined purchases) between now and September 30.

Don’t Forget About Whole Paycheck Foods Market

If you live near a Whole Foods Market (find a store here), remember that Amazon Prime members receive free delivery on online orders of $35 or more. (Which ain’t hard to rack up at Whole Foods!)

Combine Points with Your Chase Sapphire Preferred or Reserve Card!

Remember that the Chase Freedom bonus is rewarded as 5X Ultimate Rewards points (which can be applied for statement credit or cashback). So you have the option to transfer those URs to your Chase Sapphire Reserve card — where they’ll be worth 1.5 cents each when you purchase travel through Chase. So that 5X really becomes 7.5X! (The Chase Sapphire Preferred card allows you to redeem them for 1.25 cents when buying travel through Chase.)

  1. Amazingly, you don’t actually have to register FIRST — as long as you register sometime during the promotion even purchases made during the promotion before you registered will count!
