Chase is giving Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Preferred cardholders more reasons to keep their cards (at least through summer).
The bank recently announced perks involving Instacart, streaming service, and gas station purchases.

Instacart
For those not familiar with Instacart, it’s sort of like Uber Eats or GrubHub for grocery shopping, household items, pharmacy needs, liquor delivery, and more. (Save $10 when you sign up using our link or promo code G7D4AAA1A5. Thank you!)
Chase Sapphire cardholders enjoy bonus earnings on Instacart purchases made through September 30, 2020! Sapphire Reserve cardholders receive 5X total points on up to $3,000 on Instacart purchases. Meanwhile, Chase Sapphire Preferred members get 3X (also capped at $3,000 in spend).
Both Reserve and Preferred cardholders can earn up to $50 each in statement credits with a yearly or monthly Instacart Express membership (unlimited deliveries with a $0 delivery fee and reduced service fees on orders over $35).
Streaming Bonuses
Many people are streaming way more TV than ever — especially now during COVID-19.

Through September 30, Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders earn 10X (yes, you read that correctly) total points on select streaming services on up to $1,500 worth of spend.
Chase Sapphire Preferred members get 5X up to $1,500 in spend.
Eligible streaming providers are:
- Apple Music
- Disney+
- ESPN+
- Fubo TV
- Hulu
- Netflix
- Pandora
- SiriusXM
- Sling
- Spotify
- Vudu
- YouTube TV
Gas Stations
If you need to fill up at a gas station, you can earn bonus points with your Chase Sapphire cards!
Sapphire Reserve cardholders receive 5X total points on up to $1,500 in spending through September 30. Chase Sapphire Preferred enjoy get 3X.
Pay Yourself Back!
Remember that Chase offers a great Pay Yourself Back benefit this summer for its Sapphire Reserve and Preferred cardholders. This could come in very handy for gas station purchases.
Final Approach
I appreciate that credit (and charge) card companies are adding extra — even though temporary — benefits to their cards. It behooves them to keep customers happy — and keep customers, in general.
