While Hurricane Isais continues its path toward the eastern United States, Delta Air Lines issued a change fee waiver for airports in several major metropolitan markets such as Baltimore & Washington, D.C., New York, and Philadelphia.
Affected destinations are:
- Allentown, PA (ABE)
- Baltimore, MD (BWI)
- Hartford, CT (BDL)
- Newark, NJ (EWR)
- Newburgh, NY (SWF)
- New York, NY – Kennedy (JFK)
- New York, NY – LaGuardia (LGA)
- Norfolk, VA (ORF)
- Philadelphia, PA (PHL)
- Richmond, VA (RIC)
- Washington D.C. – Dulles (IAD)
- Washington D.C. – Reagan (DCA)
- White Plains, NY (HPN)
The waiver is effective for Delta travel on August 4 and August 5.
Delta said tickets must be reissued on or before August 8, with rebooked travel commencing no later than August 8, as well.
Passengers may make a one-time change without being assessed a fee, though fare differences may apply.

Aren’t there no change fees?
I think this might provide extra protection for people who now need to make multiple changes to their tickets — first because of COVID and now the hurricane.
