I recently activated and used my Chase Sapphire Reserve DoorDash benefits. (Our stove was broken and we needed some pasta for our Italian night. DoorDash to the rescue!)

In case you forgot about this perk — or need some handholding and explaining — here’s how it works!

What DoorDash Benefits Do Chase Sapphire Reserve Cardholders Receive?

If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card, you enjoy $120 in DoorDash credits and a DoorDash “DashPass” subscription “for a minimum of one year.”

Here’s a quick explanation of both perks.

$60 DoorDash Credit in 2020 and 2021

CSR members get up to $120 in DoorDash credits:

  • $60 through December 31, 2020
  • $60 from January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021

You can use each year’s $60 credit in one grand meal delivery or divvy it up across multiple deliveries.

Each credit is all-inclusive. It covered my items, tax, tip, and service fee.

So I have $1.14 left to use before the calendar flips over to 2021. 🙂

What is DashPass?

DashPass is DoorDash’s subscription service waiving delivery fees on orders from eligible restaurants. But service fees and a minimum subtotal may apply. Plus, DashPass is available only in certain areas.

Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders enjoy reduced service fees on DoorDash orders of $12 or more.

How to Activate the Chase Sapphire Reserve DoorDash Benefits

It’s simple and takes only a few minutes. So when you’re ready, here’s how to get your CSR’s DoorDash benefits going!

1. Get a DoorDash Account

If you haven’t yet signed up for DoorDash, please consider using our referral link (thank you!) and receive $10 off each of your first three orders over $15.

So if you blow throw your $60 Chase Sapphire Reserve DoorDash benefit in one or two orders, you can still save five bucks on another order if you use a referral.

Then choose “Credit/Debit Card.”

Add a credit card to your DoorDash account.

From there, you can either manually enter your Chase Sapphire Reserve card’s information or use the device’s camera to scan it. (The scan function worked just fine for me. Or should I say Seamless-ly? 😉 )

Manually enter or scan your Chase Sapphire Reserve's credit card information into the DoorDash app.

Press “Save” in the upper right-hand corner.

2. Activate Your DoorDash Benefits
