People in Palm Springs will soon be nibbling on sponge cake and enjoying the frozen concoction that helps Jimmy Buffet hang on — because Margaritaville is expanding into the California desert!

Plus, Alaska and JetBlue are the latest airlines to nix exemptions for mask requirements.

Those are some of the day’s travel headlines I thought you, too, may find interesting.

Margaritaville Resort Coming to Palm Springs

The Desert Sun reports that “The Riviera, a historic Palm Springs hotel that once was a choice hangout for members of the Rat Pack” will soon become the latest Margaritaville Resort.

  1. Oh Boy! Another expansion of an overly themed restaurant serving horrible food with with beach music playing in the back ground. Can’t wait for the Senor Frog’s to be built across the street to battle it out for the worst eatery on the block.
