While Hurricane Laura has its sights set for parts of Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi, Delta Air Lines has issued a change fee waiver for passengers traveling through certain airports during the next few days.
(This may be helpful for people who’ve already used a coronavirus change fee waiver.)
The waiver is in effect for August 25-27 and includes the following airports.
- Alexandria, LA (AEX)
- Baton Rouge, LA (BTR
- Gulfport, MS (GPT)
- Houston – Intercontinental, TX (IAH)
- Houston – Hobby, TX (HOU)
- Lafayette, LA (LFT)
- Monroe, LA (MLU)
- New Orleans, LA (MSY)
- Shreveport, LA (SHV)
Tickets must be reissued on or before August 30, with rebooked travel commencing no later than the 30th, as well.
Passengers may make a one-time change without being assessed a fee, though fare differences may apply.
Visit the weather waiver’s alert for more information and learn about how Delta weather waivers work in general.
