One celebrity is asking Disney to dedicate new sections of its parks to Wakanda — as a way of honoring late actor Chadwick Boseman.
Plus, Virgin Hotels released information on some of its restaurant offerings.
Whoopi Goldberg Implores Disney to Build a Wakanda-Themed Land
Many pop culture and film lovers were shocked to hear of actor Chadwick Boseman’s death last week.
Actress-TV personality Whoopi Goldberg has an idea of how to permanently honor the 42 and Black Panther star.
She tweeted a plea to Disney asking them to create a land modeled after Wakanda, the fictitious home of T’Challa/Black Panther (the character Mr. Boseman portrayed).
Dear People in charge of building NEW experiences Disney Land and World we don’t really need another Frozen land BUT what we could use is Wakonda, please Disneyworld Disneyland PLEASE build in Chadwick Boseman’s name WAKONDA

It’s not necessarily a far-fetched idea. Fox News noted:
Disney previously announced a Marvel-themed expansion at Disney California Adventure park with the buzzed-about Avengers Campus, a project that has been delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. The Disney Parks Blog teased that guests could fly with the Avengers “to Wakanda and beyond” through a new E-Ticket attraction and enjoy “heroic encounters” with characters from Wakanda.
