The news isn’t surprising but still disappointing, at least for some.

This year’s Chicago Seminars won’t happen in-person. Rapid Travel Chai blogger Stefan Krakowski — who’s in charge of this year’s event — made the announcement last night on the Seminars’ FlyerTalk thread.

Will there be an online version? Stefan apparently hasn’t ruled it out. He said, “I may do a very casual online livestream with each guest more surprising than the next. Updates to follow.”

Looking Forward to Next Year

If you want to attend next year’s Chicago Seminars, put a pin on October 15-17, 2021.

  1. I would be in support of a virtual seminar where I would pay for this. You can assign only one paying customer to an IP address to cut down on someone passing along a code given. As an engineer I take many courses that are done online and live, where i can type in questions.

I strongly urge we do this.

  2. If each guest is more surprising than the next, it may very boring by the end. Perhaps it would be better to make each guest more surprising than the last?
