Sad: a “Tsunami” of Closing Hotels
The COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating to many industries. And its effects across travel and tourism continue to be seen.
The Hilton Times Square recently closed, as did the nearby EDITION. The Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel in swanky Beverly Hills just shuttered, too.
Those may be the tip of the iceberg.
Commercial real expert Donald Wise told the Los Angeles Times‘ Hugo Martin, “We know there is a tsunami outside. We know it’s going to hit the beach. We just don’t know when.”
