How’s this for an overweight suitcase: a traveler was arrested after allegedly flying with 87 pounds (yes) of marijuana.

And a Paris hotel converted its swimming pool into an even more interesting community area.

Those are some of today’s travel stories I thought you, too, may find interesting.

Leaf-ing on a Jet Plane

Fox News reports that Nashville police arrested a passenger arriving from San Francisco — after he was nabbed purportedly hauling 87 pounds of marijuana.

“Police identified the 26-year-old California man who brought them because his name was on the luggage tags, according to the report,” the piece says.

Genius.

The post points out that this is the second time in less than a week that at least 80 pounds of pot were confiscated at the Nashville airport.
