Delta Air Lines issued a weather advisory today for four destinations that may be affected by Hurricane Delta. (The irony, I know.)
Those cities and airports are:
- Alexandria, LA (AEX)
- Baton Rouge, LA (BTR)
- Lafayette, LA (LFT)
- New Orleans, LA (MSY)
The impacted travel dates are Thursday, October 8 – Saturday, October 10. Tickets must be reissued by Thursday, October 15. Rebooked travel must begin no later than the 15th, as well.
Delta (the airline) says that when “rebooked travel occurs on or before October 15, 2020 in the same cabin of service as originally booked, the fare difference will be waived.”
Plus, it waived change fees for most domestic tickets a few weeks ago. If your ticket somehow doesn’t qualify (i.e. Basic Economy), this could give you a little protection.

If you have questions or need to rebook travel, contact Delta Air Lines directly (not “Delta Airlines”) or the provider through whom you originally purchased travel.

Stay safe and warm, everyone!
