A Subway Amex Offer showed up today — and is particularly notable because it excludes so many locations!
The offer awards a $5 statement credit to cardholders who enroll their card and make a single purchase of $15 or more in-restaurant, online at subway.com, or on the Subway app. The promotion expires on December 5, 2020.
I received the Subway Amex Offer on four of my personal/consumer American Express-branded cards:
- The Platinum Card from American Express
- American Express Gold Card
- Blue Cash Everyday Card
- Blue Cash Preferred Card from American Express
I added it to my American Express Gold Card, which earns 4X on at US supermarkets. I don’t know that I’ll use but, hey, just in case.
Oh, The Exclusions
There are a ton of exclusions of which you should be wary. It’s a fairly extensive list that includes a number of travel-related locations, so buckle in:
- airport terminals
- mass transit terminals
- highway toll plazas
- rest stops
- retail stores
- department stores
- gas stations
- shopping malls
- movie theaters
- military bases
- office buildings
- high schools
- university/college campuses
- locations shared with another brand
- locations outside the United States
Also excluded are delivery orders, gift cards purchased online or through the app, and corporate gift cards.
Outside of all that, you should be good. 😉
