Bitmo is running a promotion today on DoorDash and Uber Eats gift cards. And if you plan on ordering in a nice dinner (or maybe some beverages) on Valentine’s Day or while watching the NFL playoffs, this could be a good way to save a few bucks. Or if you’re traveling and there’s not a restaurant near your hotel or Airbnb, food delivery services can act as a de facto roomservice. 🙂
And Platinum Card from American Express members can save even more with their PayPal statement credits!
Let’s check out the deals.
Buy a $100 Gift Card, Get a $15 Bonus
You can buy $100 gift cards for both DoorDash and Uber Eats and receive $15 bonuses when using certain promo codes:
- DoorDash: DDBONUSJAN
- Uber Eats: UEBONUSJAN
You must be a member of their Bitmo Perks program. But it’s free to register and the program also donates 2% of your purchases to a charity you select from their partners.
I was able to take advantage of both offers. So I essentially received $115 in DoorDash funds for $100 and then $115 in Uber Eats credit for $100.
Bitmo codes as a 1X purchase, so I paid with my Delta Reserve Business American Express Card. I figured this was a good way to chip away at my $30,000 Status Boost spending.
But there’s a great opportunity available for Amex Platinum card users!
Stack with Amex Platinum’s PayPal Benefit!
Bitmo accepts — at least on iPhone — PayPal and Apple Pay.
Platinum Card from American Express cardholders enjoy up to $30 in monthly statement credits when using their card for PayPal purchases (through June 30, 2021). So, theoretically, you could use your consumer/personal Amex Platinum card to save another $30. (I would’ve used this method but already scored my statement credits last week.)
This can help Amex Platinum users pad their monthly Uber Eats Cash deposits.
Plus, get $10 off your first three DoorDash orders over $20 when you use our referral link (thank you!) to sign up for the service. (New users only.)
I love using food and beverage delivery services. And saving money on top of it is even better! Because gift cards don’t expire, I know I have a while to whittle away my new DoorDash and Uber Eats balances. We’re big sports fans at our house — so it’s nice to order in while watching the NFL playoffs and college basketball. And while we plan to make dinner for Valentine’s Day, we’ll likely use DoorDash or Uber Eats to help us “cater in” the sides. 🙂
