Chase and DoorDash offer discounts and benefits for DashPass — the food delivery service’s subscription program. But only a few cards receive the perks.
The offerings have changed a little bit since the two companies partnered up, so we wanted to get you caught up to speed.
Not yet a DoorDash member? Receive $10 off each of your first three orders over $15 when you sign up for free using this referral link (thank you!). That’s a potential savings of $30.

Complimentary DashPass Subscriptions
DashPass is DoorDash’s subscription service that gives members $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible orders of $12 on DoorDash and Caviar orders. It costs $9.99 a month.
But if you hold at least one eligible Chase card, you can enjoy the service free for a certain period of time.
Which Chase Cards Have DoorDash DashPass Benefits?
- The Chase Sapphire Reserve and Chase Sapphire Preferred both offer complimentary DashPass subscriptions lasting at least 12 months. (More on the “at least” phrasing in a minute.) Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders also receive a cumulative $60 statement credit on DoorDash purchases during 2021.
- The Chase Freedom Flex, Chase Freedom Unlimited, and legacy Chase Freedom give cardholders complimentary DashPass subscriptions for three months. After that, subscriptions are automatically converted to paid memberships at a 50% discount for the next nine months. (Or you can always cancel.) Keep in mind that the Flex and Unlimited are no-annual-fee cards — so this only adds to their punches.
Keep in mind that the perks must be manually activated in the DoorDash app by December 31, 2021.
CSR and CSP: “At Least” 12 Months?
When Chase and DoorDash introduced the partnership last year, they said CSR and CSP cardholders would receive complimentary DashPass subscriptions lasting “a minimum of one year” from the enrollment date.
But would those memberships last 366 days? 13 months? 14? Two years? How long?
I checked my DashPass stats this week. My membership began on July 31, 2020, and now is set to expire on January 31, 2022. So that’s a total of 18 months.

It’s very easy to start taking advantage of your Chase DoorDash perks. We created this little guide to help you out. The Chase Sapphire Reserve was our sample credit card in the real-life example.
Final Approach
I love using credit cards’ food delivery perks — and the Chase-DoorDash partnership is really one of my favorites. DoorDash has a pretty great selection of restaurants and stores and I’ve immensely enjoyed my DashPass subscription.
