The path has been cleared for Las Vegas to fully open up just in time for summer.
Plus, police are having to be called to London Heathrow — because passengers are cranky with the six-hour immigration lines.
Those are some of the day’s travel headlines I thought you, too, may find interesting.
Las Vegas Could Open to Full Capacity on June 1
Fellow Sin City enthusiasts: rejoice! According to the Las Vegas Sun, Vegas is on track to reopen to full capacity on June 1.
It’s great news for the city cursed with “the hardest-hit metro economy in America.”
The Sun reports that a “statewide mask mandate will remain in effect for now, and [Nevada Governor Steve] Sisolak stated it’s too early to tell when that may be removed.”
Cops Called to Heathrow — Because of Immigration Waits
It seems the natives are restless. So are the international travelers.
Immigration waits at London Heathrow are reportedly lasting anywhere between two and six hours. That’s made some tempers flare. The Evening Standard says police have stepped in to help keep things under control.
Note to self: Heathrow mileage runs are probably a no-go for the next few months…
