Curious what the Delta One business class experience was like from Minneapolis to Honolulu? Check out Rene’s reviews of a flight earlier this year.
Delta Air Lines issued weather travel waivers for more than a dozen Midwest cities it serves — including major hub Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP).
While this is a little high CPM-wise for a premium economy mileage run not yielding mega MQD, I know Minneapolis area flyers are starved for mileage runs. So I figured we’d toss this one up in case it helps anyone.
One of the year’s busiest travel days could become one of the messiest, too.
It’s back (sorta anyway). Yes I know E Basic fares are evil with no shot at an upgrade (or a seat choice) but gosh this is cheap for a nice chunk of MQMs as you still earn full points on Basic Delta fares. Plus, you get to fly the new A220 back and forth between DFW and SLC. If I were booking this I would consider the 1st class run at 8CPM vs the Basic one for 4CPM. You can book this in non-basic for a few bucks more at 6CPM For some reason this is NOT bookable on Delta.dumb even one the multi-city page. But FlightNetwork.com is working. Here are the numbers and some sample links: Cost E Basic: $169 at 4.2CPM Cost coach: $239 at 5.9CPM Cost First Class Z fare: $479 at 8CPM Book on FlightNetwork.com Quick Link to Sept 10th flight in E BASIC Quick Link…
You may not want to spend Sunday the 30th in Oklahoma, but if you do not feel like donating an insane amount of money to Delta to keep your status, and you live near MSP, this could be a cheaper last minute 2018 Delta elite mileage run. If you have not had the Delta Amex Reserve personal or business card you are just about out of time to pick that up and get 10,000 MQMs for the non-waved $450 first year fee (plus you get into the Sky Clubs for a year free when you fly Delta)! Yes, if you apply fast and get spend done, you should be able to still get the cards THIS YEAR 2018 for 2019! Keep in mind I like to see a 1st class run under 8CPM so this one, this late in the year, is not bad at all! Also, there may be…
There is only one day in 2018 where this run is sub $100 but a bunch of dates you can score this out and back run for just a few bucks more. While I am no fan of E Basic fares, since you have no shot at an upgrade or seat choice, you may want to pay about $20 more for main cabin seats as the base price of about 4.3CPM is not bad to start with. Do keep in mind if you have not had the Delta Amex Reserve personal or business card you still have time to pick that up and get 10,000 MQMs for the non-waved $450 first year fee (plus you get into the Sky Clubs for a year free when you fly Delta)! Here are the numbers: Cost in E Basic non-upgrade fare class: $97 2,248 MQMs at 4.3 CPM Book direct on Delta.com (HT…

Very limited dates on this one but here is why I really like it. You can leave work just a little early on Friday and be home by Sunday night and get to enjoy about 24 hours in Paris. It is always fun to come in to work and when they ask you what you did this weekend say: “I had dinner in Paris” 🙂 I also like this one if you have FlexPerks points as it will only run you 30,000 points for up to a $600 ticket. If you have, like me, MSed it for cheap this could really drive the price down for this run. Just be sure you choose via ATL 2x for MAX MQMs. Here are the coach numbers: Cost: $555 10,600 MQMs at 5.2 CPM via ATL 2x Book direct on Delta.com Need a hotel in Paris?
