It was time. I have had my old Palm phone for too long. Since I wanted to be able to run the blog from my phone if need be I went with one of the biggest screens I could find and chose the Samsung Galaxy 2s ( kinda a little “TAB” btw ). I very much like the phone. It is light and fast and the screen is outstanding. Another reason I got this is I can use it as a wifi hotspot if I want to. I am not ready to pay $30 a month for this privilege for now so I just got this handy app for $16 that let’s me go online with my usb phone charger cord. Also, I wanted to be able to use the new  Delta Mobile app  that works with Androd, iPhone, Blackberry and Windows phones. So far so good it would seem.…

But what if you’re Silver or just a standard skymiles member. What can you do and are you left out in the cold? First you must read my post about Twitter with @DeltaAssist as you can get almost the same service as GM or higher with them. Almost. So let’s say you are waiting for your flight and you have no plane at your gate and it is time to board. What do you do? What I do is this. I check…

Today I want to talk about my first experience with the new Delta Android app for my Samsung Galaxy 2s. So how did it go? I had a very early AM flight as you can see above and check in did not work. I attempted to check back with the app all day but at last decided to check in online as I did not want to risk messing up my trip in some way. That did work fine and the app did after a while update that I was in fact checked in. I did not have a phone boarding pass but all the info was current and up to day. This came in handy later. For my trip back the app was great. My return flight out of RSW was delayed inbound. Before robo-calls or emails from Delta the app alerted me that there was something amiss with…
