Detroit DTW Central concourse A main Sky Club Detroit DTW North & South concourse A Sky Club Detroit DTW B/C Delta Sky Club – Regional Jets Concourse Minneapolis Central concourse Sky Club Minneapolis B/C concourse Sky Club Minneapolis Central concourse Escape Lounge If you are looking for a classic looking lounge then this may be the one for you and it really has a ton of features I like in a club. Location is just about across from the tram stop so you can take it from the central terminal area one stop or from the other regional jet gates the other way. You can get in with a number of AMEX cards or, if you are a Skyteam elite plus status and are on a coach or anyone on a business class international departing (or connecting) ticket, you can also get in free. The layout is in an L…

I had the chance to spend some time at the Delta Sky Club in EWR recently after my just amazing day at the PGA event on SPG points. I remember a very long time ago visiting this club and it looks very much the same (well, mostly that is). You can get in with a number of AMEX cards or, if you are a Skyteam elite plus status and are on a coach or anyone on a business class international departing (or connecting) ticket, you can also get in free. Check in and the service desk in this small club are combined into one just right of entrance. You also have some very strange seating should you want to sit and watch everyone who enters the lounge. Next time, I am thinking, I may sit there and take photos of everyone who enters just to watch the reactions. Or something…

Saturday, October 22, 2016 – A Guest Post from John (@laptoptravel) On Thursday, October 20th, 2016 Delta unveiled their newest flagship Sky Club. It opened for a Private Preview Event which was invitation-only. In spite of other reviewers who are members of the press or allowed to attend media events earlier in the week, I actually am just a long-time Delta SkyMiles member and entered through the doors without special privilege (other than the invitation.) So, enjoy this true, first-hand review of a person who was actually there and not writing a review based on a set of ‘press photos’ dispensed to reviewers (who never set foot in the Sky Club) from Delta and at a live event with lots of invited guests and Delta personnel. I just flew back in from Seattle the same night of the preview… This Review is ‘The Real Deal.’ This new facility has an…

This club is stunning. You can get in with…

There are a number of small Sky Clubs in the Delta system. Take for example the B10 ATL club – yeah, no thanks – I hear the only reason to go here is the bartenders. So is the MSY club the same way? Nope! Take a look You can get in with a number of AMEX cards or, if you are a Skyteam elite plus status and are on a coach or anyone on a business class international departing (or connecting) ticket, you can also get in free. The only thing I really am not a fan of is this tiny grouping of chairs just inside the doors. A minor complaint. The folks at Check In were very nice and welcoming. Again, what you see is just about the entire club but they have crammed in a bunch in this small space. Including along the window “wall” space for laptop…

Detroit DTW Central concourse A main Sky Club Detroit DTW North & South concourse A Sky Club Detroit DTW B/C Delta Sky Club – Regional Jets Concourse Minneapolis Central concourse Sky Club Minneapolis B/C concourse Sky Club Minneapolis Central concourse Escape Lounge Yes it is embarrassing I have not yet finished all the reviews for the DTW & MSP clubs. Time to catch up and start with the centrally located Minneapolis club just to the left when you exit security. I have a number of thoughts about this club but will save them for the end of the post. One thing to notice right away is the entrance is tucked away a bit and it is easy to miss it. Also, the entrance area can get crowded at times with lines out the door as well as folks exiting via this small-ish area. Keep this in mind. You can get…
