If you have not been to DFW Dallas airport for a while, you need to look again to find Delta gates. They are now using the satellite terminal.

Plan for about 5 minutes extra walking to get out there from the tram. Not a big deal and there is a very nice reward for this move and that is a much nicer Skyclub than the old one.

Just below the gates and above the underground walkway you will find the entrance to the new Skyclub.

You will find the same helpful and nice folks from the other lounge working the desk. I have to say, there are some Skyclub reps that are helpful, while others are not so much. The DFW folks are top notch.

As you work your way into the lounge you are greeted with some nice print media if you are not yet 100% in the digital age.

Next you have a common site at most Skyclubs now, that is, a luxury bar where you can get your free house or well drinks and pay for premium pours.

Then you have the now standard light snacks and soups in most Skyclubs

As well as salad, veggies and cookies (that is during lunch and dinner hours).

The lounge is amazingly inviting. The curved shape of the lounge is really striking. Light pours in from all around.

And while the lounge is not huge, it feels bigger than it really is and each area is broken up to create a bit of privacy. Very nice.

There is a separate room for TV that is darker. Just a nice touch on all levels from isolating the TV noise and blocking the bright light from the rest of the lounge.

Printer, copier & shredder. I have used the e-mail to printer often back in the days when I needed a HOOU, less so now. But still it is a quick way to shoot anything from e-mail to a printer!

One of the most striking visual artwork pieces is a screen between the walkway and the main seating area that has a image of the airport in chain link. It truly is striking.

And being a child of Scandinavia I love light and this lounge has an abundance and the architecture is just stunning to me as you can see.

Overall this is one of the nicest Skyclubs I have been in. I wish more of the Delta HUBs could have designs as smart and inviting as this one. – René

  1. I’m sure this is a nice club, but I HATE DFW!!! The rental car terminal being 15 minutes away combined with waiting 15-20 minutes for the shuttle is compounded by a tram ride and another 5 minute walk… Did I mention the mini escalator you have to use with your bags coming and going because the car rental shuttle only stops downstairs… Fun…

I would endure the crj and fly from ATL to DAL just to avoid DFW and the additional 90 minutes it takes to catch a flight. And now, even that option is out.

  2. Went through DFW two weeks ago to ATL. The walk wasn’t too bad and the Sky Club there is very nice. 2M, highest medallion level on DL for almost 20 years (Diamond since merger) and I found myself 27 on the upgrade list. Couldn’t believe it and thought it was mistake. Redcoat said ever since they shut down the hub, there are still a large number of DL flyers that would rather change planes than go over to the dark side (or should I say “the silver side”. So very high level of Diamonds in DFW. Be forewarned, it is not a mistake.

  3. Great review! That is a nice looking club and I cannot wait to visit it in 2 weeks when I fly through DFW.
